Some more stunning images from the collection which was created out of the collaboration between Bolon and the Italian fashion house Missoni. This brilliantly coloured, uplifting and energising collection of exclusive woven floors gives new and exciting expression to Missoni’s beloved and characteristic attributes.
Missoni collaborate with Bolon
Missoni is an Italian fashion house notable for its crocheted knitwear designs, made from a variety of fabrics in colourful patterns. Family run, Missoni has been at the forefront of fashion since the company was founded by Ottavio and Rosita Missoni in 1953.
Aside from the main Missoni line, the company has diversified into a variety of luxury goods including the Missoni Home collection. In November 2005, Missoni and the Rezidor Hotel Group signed an agreement to create Hotel Missoni, a lifestyle hotel chain, with plans to ultimately have 30 hotels.
2012 has seen a collaboration between Bolon and Missoni resulting in some of the most striking floor coverings yet! WOW!!
Retail flooring
The demands on a flooring in a retail environment are extremely high. Entrance barrier matting, as always, is critical – the balance between sufficient walk off area and being unobtrusive is always a fine balance. Any busy high street shop will have heavy and dirty traffic therefore, it is essential that the flooring is hard wearing and easy to maintain in addition to enhancing the atmosphere. Bolon is an ideal floor covering for retail environments with wear ratings of both 32 and 33, British Standards deems it suitable for use in heavy traffic environments.
Bolon is regularly used in shops, from large well known shops such as Harrods to smaller boutiques such as Cutler and Gross.

Bolon Create
An interpretation of classic art deco, this is the first collection of jacquard designs from Bolon. The irregular design offers a vintage look of raw silk and can be used to create either subtle effects, or with its bold colour palette and movement in the light can be used to create striking features.
The collection consists of 10 designs in a plain or pattern, and is available in a mixture of sheet, tiles and deco shapes.
