We are off to the Stockholm Furniture Fair next week to see the latest Bolon collaboration – the first Architect friend – Jean Nouvel!
“Jean Nouvel and his design team will be creating an architectural setting that will also be presented in one of Bolon’s newly-developed digital tools designed specifically to inspire architects. We are unable to reveal more details at the moment but we promise that Bolon’s stand will be out of the ordinary. Of course, Monsieur Nouvel will also be with us at the Fair,” says Marie Eklund, Creative Director at Bolon.
Jean Nouvel was born in 1945 and studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. His major breakthrough came in 1987 as an architect with the Institut du Monde Arabe. Monsieur Nouvel is one of the most renowned, award-winning architects in the world today. His commissions are often large, public buildings and institutions, such as Danish Radio’s Concert Hall in Copenhagen, the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, Torre Agbar in Barcelona and the Louvre Abu Dhabi (under construction).
“We are naturally tremendously proud and delighted to have formed this partnership with Jean Nouvel, who is one of the world’s most outstanding and talented architects, and it gives us a fantastic opportunity to display the full potential of our floors,” Marie Eklund concludes.
As part of Bolons environmental goals, an intensive BREEAM assessment has just been completed and we are absolutely thrilled that the entire Bolon collection has been awarded either BREEAM A or A+ for all commercial installations.

Having recently completed a fantastic project with Pensons for Googles Victoria offices, it was great to see the project featured on Dezeen at New Year.
Below are a few images of the stunning offices but the full Dezeen article can be read HERE .
Bolon tiles have been used throughout the office space; NOW silver tiles are bordered with the vivid orange of Spektra Eclipt which has also been cut into numbers.
The two tones of grey are a mixture of NOW silver and BKB metallic gamma, again bordered with Spektra Eclipt.
It doesn’t come much busier than Heathrow Airport; a true 24/7 environment! Approximately three years ago, about 1000m2 of Bolon Ethnic Sarek was installed in the business lounge for a collection of Airlines including KLM, Air France and Delta. Despite huge amounts of traffic with suitcases, wheels, food and drink, as expected, the Bolon has been well maintained and continues to look fabulous!
